Community Service: Linda is always willing to donate her time to her community. In 2005 Piedmont was 150 years old and she was the Chairperson for the Sesquicentennial celebration. As President of the
Historical Society Linda is always taking calls and working with people helping them find information about their ancestors or lost family members.

Linda and Carl have (2) children – Rhonda Lunyou and John Lunyou. Linda and Carl are also the proud grandparents of 4 grandchildren.
Other information:
Linda Graduated from Piedmont High School in 1959. Her first job was with the Doniphan Telephone Company where she worked for three years. Linda worked during the “Party line” era and she had to remember 500 numbers in town and around 100 for the party lines. Her customers did not like looking up any number they wanted to ring so they would call the operator (Linda) and ask her to ring it for them. They considered it her job and she was getting paid for it .65 cents an hr.
Linda joined the Historical Society in 1992 at the first meeting she was put in as President, she tried to decline but finally said she would do it until a better qualified person was found. That was 17 years ago and she is now a very qualified President.
The projects that the Society have been involved in includes a Granite marker at the Patterson Cemetery marking the site of the Civil War Soldiers it is a monument to all people who have died in any of the past wars. They purchased the old Civil War Fort Benton site. It is now on the National Register of Historic Sites.
